OUR PATIENTS:
Total Rehabilitation, Inc. provides Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Speech Language Pathology evaluation and treatment for patients of all ages with any medical problem or deficit depending on their individual needs.
We offer bi-lingual occupational, physical and speech therapy services in selected areas!

Counties: Orange, Durham, Wake, Chatham, Johnson, Person, Alamance, Franklin, Caswell, Guilford, Warren, and Harnett.

OUR THERAPISTS:
We deliver quality patient care by ensuring the competency of our therapists.
All Therapists hired by Total Rehab are highly skilled and experienced therapists with up to date and professional North Carolina discipline specific licenses. Background checks are done on all Total Rehab therapists.
Our therapists are able to evaluate a patient and develop a plan of care for therapeutic intervention. They are “team players” who communicate closely with patients, caregivers, families, doctors, nurses, social workers, case managers, community resources, facility personnel, other health professionals, and referral resources.
THE OWNERS
Total Rehabilitation, Inc was founded in 1995 by five therapists who had worked together since 1980. As a group, the owners had over 100 years of clinical experience in treating patients, supervising therapists and academic students, and interacting with both professional organizations and community resources.
Carolyn G. Cusic graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Physical Therapy. She has actively worked since graduation in a variety of facilities including hospitals, home health agencies, and consulting services. She is actively involved in the Association for Home Care and Hospice of North Carolina, Inc, and is a member on their Education Committee and frequently is responsible for educational presentations, is a member of the N.C. Council of Allied Health, member of the American Physical Therapy Association, and has been a clinical preceptor for students of Physical Therapy.
Sandra L. Blackwood graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.S. in Physical Therapy. She has specialized in treating geriatric patients and has worked in home health agencies, hospitals, clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and assisted living facilities. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and has been a clinical preceptor of physical therapy students.
Martha B. Brown graduated from the University of South Carolina at Columbia with M.Ed in Speech Language Pathology. She has treated both pediatric and geriatric patients in private practice, home health agencies, and hospitals, skilled nursing and assisted living facilities, schools and daycares. She is a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association and is actively involved in supervising and mentoring therapists as they pursue their career with Total Rehab.
Heide S. Dorfman graduated from Boston University with a M.S. in Occupational Therapy and a minor in Mathematics. She has clinical experience with geriatric and pediatric patients, and has worked in home health facilities. She is an active member of the North Carolina Occupational Therapy Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association. Heide is the Chief Financial Officer for Total Rehabilitation.
